The Philippine Embassy in Santiago, Chile joined the Filipino Community in Lima, Peru on 21 December 2020 for its first virtual mass and Christmas gathering, Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza delivered the opening remarks where she recounted the many challenges brought by the pandemic in Peru, the Philippines and the world. Amidst these difficulties she enjoined all to continue to be grateful for the many blessings including good health, work, the support of family, friends and the community. She conveyed deep appreciation for the support extended by Ms. Kathbeth Kreimer, Filipino Coordinator who continues to be a dependable partner of the Embassy, specifically as it discharges assistance to nationals.

The virtual event provided as opportunity to meet, celebrate as well showcase talents in singing and photography. Raffle prizes courtesy of Ms. Kreimer and the Philippine Embassy in Santiago were also handed to lucky participants. END

(22 December 2020) Mr. David Jose John Daza, spouse of Ambassador Maria Teresita C. Daza  Mr. Jeffry Aranda, Cultural Officer and Ms. Paula Rodriguez, Special Assistant, joined by winner of the logo competition and Filcom member Ms. Ariane Bobillo and son Alonso Bobillo, turned over the additional materials for the Filipino Corner at Escuela de la Republica de Filipinas. Among these materials are carpets poufs, and children´s books. This donation is part of the proceeds from the successful ´´ Christmas Bazaar 2019¨ a joint project between the Filipino Community and the Philippine Embassy Santiago, Chile. END
