AMBASSADOR DAZA PRESENTS HER CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT FRANCISCO SAGASTI OF PERU

16 July 2021- Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza together with 12 Ambassadors accredited in the region presented their credentials virtually to President Francisco Sagasti of Peru on 16 July 2021.  The 12 Ambassadors aside from the Philippines represented the following countries as non-resident Ambassador to Peru- Denmark, New Zealand, Ireland, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Slovakia, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Estonia, Vietnam and Cyprus.

After the presentation of credentials, President Sagasti delivered brief remarks where he noted the significance of the ceremony, the diversity of the countries present, as well as the will of Peru in strengthening its presence as a reliable and active partner within the international arena. He underscored Peru’s confidence in the multilateral system and its institutions, highlighting friendship, dialogue and international cooperation provide the best way of addressing the health, economic and social impact of the pandemic. VIRTUAL GATHERING TO COMMEMORATE THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINE-ECUADOR DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

10 July 2021- The Philippine Embassy in Santiago and the Honorary Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador organized a virtual gathering attended by some 30 members of the Filipino Community in Ecuador to celebrate the 75^th Anniversary of Philippine-Ecuador Diplomatic Relation. The program consisted of opening remarks by Honorary Consul Corazon Oliva Reyes, a message by Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza, singing of the Bayan ko by the representatives of Filcom, video presentation featuring Filipino culture and tourism, games on Philippines and Ecuador´s culture, history and commonalities. The attendees came from different cities across Ecuador and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive games and the virtual get together to celebrate this milestone event. END

Ambassador Daza introduced the Embassy´s cultural and ongoing activities in celebration of the 75^th Anniversary of the Philippine-Chile Diplomatic Relations. END
