16 September 2021- A virtual meeting with the Department of Agriculture and Chile´s Oficina de Estudios y Politicas Agrarias to discuss the Philippine-Chile MOU on Agricultural Cooperation was held on 16 September 2021. The meeting was participated by Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza, Dr. Maria Araceli Escandor, Agricultural Counsellor, Dr. Janet Garcia Chief of the International Affairs Division (IAD), Atty. Nefretery Nufable, representative of the DA´s Legal Division, Ms. Dianara Lausa, Desk Officer for the Americas (IAD), Mr. Jeffry Aranda, Communications Officer and Ms. Paula Rodriguez, Special Assitant from Philippine side and Ms. Julybeth Marquez, Coordinator of ASEAN Markets (ODEPA) and Mr. Fernando Balart, Agriculture Attaché covering Southeast Asia from the Chilean side .END

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY SANTIAGO JOINS ´´MOVE WITH MALONG: AN ONLINE CULTURAL WORKSHOP´´

11 September 2021- The Philippine Embassy in Santiago actively participated in the´´ Move with Malong: An online Cultural Workshop´´ held on 11 September 2021 by promoting the workshop to Filipino community members and Chilean vloggers, both of which enjoyed and learned from the virtual event. The Embassy also distributed the malong kits to four lucky leaders who were shown how to use malong in different ways after the Filcom meeting at the Embassy on same day.END

MEETING WITH FILIPINO COMMUNITY LEADERS AT THE EMBASSY

11 September 2021- After months of interacting only through virtual meetings, the Philippine Embassy finally met with the Filipino Community Leaders on 11 September 2021 at the Philippine Embassy to discuss forthcoming activities for the remaining months of 2021. Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza shared updates on the 75^th Anniversary Celebrations including the commemorative reception at Hyatt Centric, Las Condes, Santiago on 19 August 2021. Cultural Officer Jeffry Aranda showed different videos during the commemorative program including the one on ´´ Filipinos in Chile´´ which was much appreciated then and in this meeting. Filcom activities such as a team building activity in a nearby park as well as safety/self-defense Kali session were also presented. The leaders were exuberant and excited in meeting again in person and in the planned activities for the last quarter of the calendar year. END
