(Santiago, 27 July 2019) – The ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS), composed of the Embassies of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, visited the Greda Pottery House in Pomaire, Melipilla a center of pottery some 60 kilometers from Santiago.
The half-day activity organized by Malaysia, served as opportunity for personnel and family of ACS embassies to get together and explore Pomaire and its arts. END
PHL EMBASSY MEETS WITH CHILE-ASEAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Ambassador Daza meets with the ExCom of Chile-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce at the Philippine Embassy
(Santiago, 26 July 2019) – Ambassador Daza received the Executive Committee of Chile-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, led by its President, Mr. Gerardo Velasco. Mr. Velasco made an extensive presentation of the Chamber’s ongoing projects highlighting its four pillars namely foreign trade, investment, tourism and international collaboration. The meeting provided an opportunity to explore possible areas of collaboration.
The Chile-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce is a trade association recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism of Chile. As a private non-profit entity, the Chamber acts as focal point, coordinator and provider of solutions. It facilitates the connection between companies and institutions of both regions and brings together the different public and private stakeholders that today participate in Chile-ASEAN relations. It was incorporated in April 2018. END
PHILIPPINES PARTICIPATES IN THE PRE-ADVANCE VISIT IN PREPARATION FOR APEC CHILE 2019 ECONOMIC LEADERS’ WEEK

The Philippines participated in the Pre-Advance Visit for the APEC Chile 2019 Economic Leaders’ Week organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile on 17 to 18 July 2019.
The Philippine delegation was led by Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Robert E.A. Borje, and included representatives from the Office of the President’s (Protocol Logistics), Media and Presidential Security Group.
Chile briefed delegates from the 21 APEC economies on the program, movements and venues for the APEC Leaders’ Summit in November. END
