(Santiago, 25 May 2019) – In line with the Philippine Embassy’s Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, the Embassy organized a GAD seminar for Filipino women leaders in Chile entitled: Ang Agenda ni Juana, held at the Philippine Chancery in Las Condes.

Ambassador-designate Ma. Teresita C. Daza facilitated the GAD seminar for 10 Filipino community women leaders representing the main Filipino community organizations in Chile. She recalled the important contributions Filipino women heroes and pioneers of history and discussed the Philippines’ excellent top-tier performance in global gender development indices. She also underlined the important role of government, civil society and Filipino leaders abroad in advancing gender and development. END
