13 August 2021- The ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS) celebrated the 53rd Anniversary of ASEAN with a get togeter at the Malaysian Ambassador´s Residence on 13 August 2021, Malaysia is the current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Santiago.
The gathering was attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Deputy Minister Carolina Valdivia Torres together with Undersecretary Rodrigo Yañez Benitez, Secretary General Gloria Navarrete Pinto and ACS families and staff.
The event featured booths consisting of ASEAN delicacies and products. The Philippines actively participated with the presence of Ambassador Ma. Teresita C. Daza, Spouse and Embassy personnel. The Embassy also had a booth with Filipino delicacies such as lumpia, arroz caldo and cassava cake and a colorful display of Fiesta Filipinas products.
The ACS comprises the Missions of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam accredited in Chile.END
