The Philippines and Chile signed the landmark Memorandum of Understanding for the Establishment of a Joint Economic Commission (JEC) in a virtual ceremony on 30 March 2021. The MOU aims to enhance bilateral trade and institutionalize an important mechanism for regular trade discussions and facilitation of commerce between the two countries. Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo signed the agreement on the part of the Philippines' DTI while Vice Minister Rodrigo Yañez signed the same on the part of Chile's SUBREI. The milestone agreement was signed as part of the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Chile this year.END
