The ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS) held a virtual meeting on 27 January 2021, chaired by Vietnam as ACS Pro-Tempore Chair. The meeting discussed ACS activities under its chairmanship for the period August 2020 to January 2021; raised two pending activities to be pursued and saw the handover of the ACS Chair from Vietnam to Indonesia.

ASEAN Ambassadors noted the challenges of the pandemic while acknowledging the successful conduct of the ASEAN Day virtual celebration, meetings with DIrepac, business seminar and dialogue with Professor Rodrigo, all held virtually.

The ACS meeting was attended by the Ambassadors of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the CDA of Thailand together with representatives of the ACS Working Group.
